The Elder Scrolls told of their return.

Their defeat was merely delay
Til the time after Oblivion opened,
When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood.

But no-one wanted to believe.
Believe they even existed.
And when the truth finally dawns:
It dawns in fire.

But,
There's one they fear.
In their tongue, he's Dovahkiin:
Dragon Born!

Billy Mays: "But wait, there's More!"


He inherited the pronounced physical features of his very Imperial father and the unbound spirits of his mother. Just as his father's was his hair was as black as the sky of a moonless night, but parted the way his mother's did. He adopted her delightful sarcasm, but also his quiet reverence.

As a half elf his lifespan was not as long as a full blood's, but it was more than twice the length of a man's. When he appeared to be no older than twenty, he was nearing a century. Until his five-hundredth year he would be tormented by men in their 'mere' eighties calling him "boy", "young'n", "lad", and "kiddo" whilst doubting his experience or skill.

His voice was certainly not elven, but it was warmer than an Imperial's. But the tenderness in it was deceiving- for it would take only his voice to bring fall to an ancient adversary.

Yet there was much about himself that he wouldn't know for more than two hundred years, because he knew little if anything about his parents' past. He only knows that they were responsible for the well-being of Kvatch and that they provided sanctuary for a guild of what they called 'vigilantes'.
But even if Ethaniel knew that they were the ruling body of what was once the Dark Brotherhood his dig for knowledge would not end there- one side of his family had the Dragonborn in the family line.

Malkhai and Lucien were warriors of stealth, but Ethaniel was a blunt, in-your-face, scrapper that preferred a direct confrontation with the enemy. But that does not mean he couldn't slither among the shadows undetected- he had much training in that area from the both of them.

His name is Ethaniel LaChance, product of two legends of the times of Oblivion... that became one himself.



I'm shaking!! ^^ My heart is pounding! I am just so happy with this EEEE!

That last part of the Skyrim Trailer I imagine (After the old guy says "He is Dovahkiin...Dragonborn" the camera panning to the right from a blinding white sky and then as the Viking Choir starts I see him drawing his swords (I AM taking advantage of Dual Blades!) and looking up at an unseen enemy with a cold stare that seethes relentlessness.

And he turned out looking like a young Sean Connery I think, even though I was looking to Gerard Butler as a reference XD;

I have seen the screen shot and the image on the XBox 360 UK magazine... and seeing someone with bare arms in Skyrim makes me feel cold...ugh... 8_8 Anyone that knows snow and cold like a Minnesotan knows it's wise to get very covered up XP

...okay, so I feel much better now, knowing that I'm not the only person playing a Dragonborn who's related to Lucien. xD;; Mine's not offspring, though... just a descendant. Still, it's nice to know I'm not alone.
