Malkhai: "Hello Sweetheart. How's life in show biz?"
Issarha: *Growls*
Malkhai: "Oh don't ya growl at me, now. I might just be your ticket out of here."
Issarha: "Out? And just how is one Dunmer going to do that?"
Malkhai: *takes out dragon acid*
Issarha: "Is that dragon acid??" *low snarl*
Malkhai: "I gathered it from a corpse I found, okay? I did not slay anything to get it. Now just hold still cause this stuff will eat through almost anything."
Issarha: "I sense that there is a favor I owe you after this."
Malkhai: "Honestly, yes. But it's really simple. You know Vadre Wyelts?"
Issarha: "I would think so! He's the one that arranged my capture. He lives in that small wooden shack over there. What about him?"
Malkhai: "He leads a double life. Unknown to most he is a dirty skooma dealer and a con artist. He's made over a thousand people homeless and dying of starvation. The penalty for such a thing is death, ya know, but he managed to evade the law for years. He knows the Dark Brotherhood are looking for him so he escapes before they can ever get close enough to take him out. I don't think he will escape from the crushing dragon's foot so easily."
Issarha: "As much as I hate him for what he's done to me and...well what he's done to other people, the reputation of dragon kind is already badly damaged. By killing someone it just damns our species further.”
Malkhai: “Oh but... accidents are likely to happen during a frantic escape from brutal captors... especially when... so much is in the way.” *wink*
Issarha: “Hmmrf.”
Malkhai: “You’d actually be saving many lives by killing one, sweetie-pie. You’d be doing Cyrodiil justice that could not be delivered by the guards.”
Issarha: “Alright, it's a deal."

When the acid ate through the chains, rope, and the solid structure of the cage its consistency was reduced to that of jello. Without any effort Issarha's grand wings plowed through it as they stretched out high and wide for the first time in three months.

Vadre was warned that it was unwise to keep a dragon in captivity. Of all the awe-inspiring creatures that would lure an attraction (therefore lots of money), it was the dragon that the people of Cyrodiil avoided upsetting or harming in any way since they were considered sacred beings. They knew that retribution would fall upon those who aroused anger in the Divine. Even Laidro the one-legged faceless juggler had protested against it. But Vadre was too stubborn to listen.

But when Issahra escaped the only harm that came to anyone was a sharp pang of terror that hit them when they saw the massive beast emerging from the cage... everyone except, of course, Vadre.

Later that week the empire would learn about Vadre's criminal career and consider it justice served by the angry Heavens through one of their treasured animals.

After I did that last pic I felt SO bad for that poor dragon. I just HAD to do a piece of her being freed. ^^ That Mal- she's either saving the empire or causing trouble for it lol... but this time it's a bit of both. She's not the kind that'll just save ANYONE but she's got a soft spot for dragons. She would've freed her if she agreed to helping or not... but she can't help but try to make a deal and make it sound like she's just doing this for her own interests ;D That's her way.

Her alliance is chaotic neutral so you really don't know what she'll be... good guy or bad guy, usually depending on whether the price is satisfying. But sometimes she'll just decide to be good or bad if she simply feels like it ;D At least in Oblivion... in other 'worlds' she's a bit different.

This song was very inspiring for this ^_^

There's a series of fantasy adventure novels where the cast is a bunch of roleplayers who were sort of isekai'd into their game characters. At one point in the story one of the characters discovers that the city he and friends are visiting came up with a unique way to get rid of their waste filth. Sewers all lead to a pit just outside the walls. A young dragon is chained to the bottom of the pit. It has two choices; burn the filth as it comes, or live in a pit filled with human filth. The MC decides that is really sucks, so he smashes through the chain holding the dragon with his sword. Earning the young dragon's friendship, and the enmity of the people that captured it and chained it into the pit.
